2nd Shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will supervise and coordinate activities of professional level and administrative support for employees engaged in employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs, and/or personnel research.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned Supervises the day-to-day administration of personnel policies and practices at assigned locationOversees and assigns employee training and orientation programsOversees the administration of compensations and benefits programs at the location to ensure these programs are in line with corporate programsRecommends program changes or enhancements to meet human resource requirementsSubmits budget recommendations for personnel operationsCoordinates the delivery of effective affirmative action, and other employee relations programsAssists with the preparation of separation notices for employees separating with cause and may conduct exit interviews to determine reason behind separationsPrepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnoverMay represent company at personnel-related hearings and investigationsAdvocating for employees, ensuring that their concerns and issues are communicated to management.Maintaining and updating all display boards, electronic monitors, paperwork, signage and visual displays at Pilgrim s, in accordance with the Policy and Procedures Manual.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Bachelor s degree in a related field or additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement
3-5 years previous experience is required
In-depth working knowledge of Employment Laws/Regulations and Human Resources policies and procedures
Considerable skill in problem solving, conflict resolution, and dealing with confidential information/situations
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Working knowledge of benefits administration and management practices
Basic understanding of Training Program and further development of team members
Good computer skills including competency in Microsoft Excel and Word Software EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
