We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsAs a Cardiopulmonary Rehab (CPR) Respiratory Therapist (RT) you will possess advanced knowledge and skill in the area of pulmonary disease and rehab. You will be responsible for assisting the rehabilitation team with respiratory care of the pulmonary patient referral, from intake admission assessment, to the development of the pulmonary rehab treatment plan, exercise prescription and ongoing adjustments, outcome measurements, up through discharge.You with evaluate and rehabilitate the pulmonary patientYou will provide formal (scheduled) or informal (during exercise session) education to pulmonary patients and families as neededYou will possess thorough and current knowledge of theory and practices of pulmonary care.You will maintain a flexible schedule and allow for flexibility in schedule around patients and department and partnership needs.Job QualificationsExperience1-3 years of experienceMinimum 2 year experience in clinical setting or 1-2 years in pulmonary rehab setting – preferredEducationGraduate of American Medical Association approved Respiratory Therapy programLicenses and CertificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license by the State of TexasCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers per St. David’s HealthCare policySt. David's Medical Center is a full-service hospital located in central Austin, Texas.
