Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Varying levels of positions may include the following tasks:Operating mechanized equipment safely, efficiently, and within specifications. Troubleshooting, inspecting, and fixing issues that arise with equipment as applicable. Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.Monitoring the operation from the control room on computers, if applicableSampling and testing productsPreparing railcars and trucks; loading and unloading trucks, railcars and bags, as necessaryPacking, inspecting, and dumping bags, totes, sacks or drumsFilling tanks or transferring product as necessaryPerforming tasks of varying physical demand such as moving hoses and cleaning equipmentMaintaining inventoryHandling movement of and working with chemicals as appropriatePerforming other duties as requiredContinuous learning of other job duties and/or positions as requiredWe are looking for a person with operator level 1 or higher, with skills and experience in manufacturing and production.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWork Environment:Ability to work in potentially loud and in strong odorous environments, different physical environments, or in various weather conditionsMust be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to do the following: lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for sustained periods; climb stairs and ladders; bend; reach; push; pull, enter tanks, and wear harnessPosition type and expected hours of work: Full time position, be willing to work any day of the week, an off shift and/or rotating shifts as applicable or assigned. Overtime may be required.Required education and experience:High school diploma or GED requiredMust be able to complete pre-employment assessments as requiredAll offers are contingent upon the review of education, work history and criminal recordMust be able to successfully pass a physical and drug screen as applicable by local governmentAdditional eligibility qualifications:Read, write and speak in EnglishAble to safely perform duties of the job as requiredWork in a team environment with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills to share information, data, and ideas with peers and leadersDemonstrate good decision-making ability and communication skillsComputer literate and SAP experience a plusAble to develop and apply mechanical/problem solving skills, preferredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and Food Safety, a plusForklift experience, a plus or ability to get forklift certification, requiredWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
