Fireside Hearth and Home (FHH) is looking to add an Outside Builder Sales Representative in Knoxville TN.  Fireside Hearth & Home is the world’s largest and leading fireplace installing distributor and retail dealer in North America and a subsidiary of Hearth & Home Technologies – the largest manufacturer of fireplace products and an HNI Corporation operating company. Fireside is a team of 400+ hearth experts located across 6 regions, 12 states and 29 branches across the USA. Check us out at www.fireside.com. This position supports the vision and goals of Fireside Hearth & Home by establishing new builder accounts and servicing existing builder accounts in the assigned market.  This position maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction through customer service, professionalism, personal integrity and focusing on being a Hearth Expert who is “Easy To Do Business With.” Key Responsibilities: Establishes and prioritizes lead list through permit data, jobsite visits and referrals; contacts the decision makes of the lead list by cold calling, sending emails, post cards or letters to schedule an appointment to discuss revenue generating opportunitiesCreates and maintains a strategic marketing plan for assigned territory and/or accountsCreates a lead file for current leads including current hearth products offered, decision makers/owners, subdivisions and another other information that would help in turning the lead into a customersPlans, creates and schedules sales presentations and product demonstrations for current builder/homeowner customers and potential builder/homeowner customers Performs initial site requirements from building plans and makes appropriate product recommendations to the builder/homeowner customer Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree in a sales or marketing field and 3 – 5 years of successful sales experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience 1 – 2 years experience in training others on features and benefits of products 3 – 4 years experience in the hearth or construction industry - preferredSkills and AbilitiesMust have effective territory and account management skills including the ability to cold call prospective accounts Must have the ability to think and strategize long term while meeting short-term goals and objectivesMust be self-motivated, demonstrate a passion for success and work well in stressful situationsHigh level of business ethics and personal integrity Excellent computer skills (Windows, Outlook and Microsoft Office – Word & Excel)Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skillsExcellent time management skills, organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task effectively and follow up on tasks/issues until completed/resolvedAbility to adapt to continuous improvement driven change with a positive attitudeAbility to effectively communicate with customers and members at all levels of the organization and work as part of a teamAbility to establish and maintain long-term business relationships About Working for Hearth & Home TechnologiesHearth & Home Technologies is a part of the Residential Building Products segment of HNI Corporation (NYSE: HNI).
