Career Development Program
Corporate TaxPurpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS is seeking candidates for a part-time Tax Career Development role at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO.The intent of this position is to provide a year-round, entry-level position to currently enrolled college students on our Corporate Tax team. This is an exciting, year-round opportunity for candidates who excel in a busy, achievement-oriented environment. The purpose of the Career Development Program is to obtain relevant work experience that can lead to long-term placement with JBS. School credit may be available.Responsibilities will vary based on the role but may include:Prepare tax returnsPrepare tax paymentsAssist with notice correspondence Assist with tax auditsComplete special tax projects as assignedOther duties as assigned Qualifications: Preferred availability is 4-6hours per day, a total of 20-30hours per week. Hours must be scheduled Monday-Friday 7am-5pm,year-round. The estimated start date for this position will be around January 2025.Actively pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor s degree required. Accounting, Finance, or Business degree preferred.Self-motivatedMaintain a high level of accuracyExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of managementQuick learner with ability to complete responsibilities independently with trainingProficient in Microsoft ExcelAbility to multi-task and work under strict deadlinesCan perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:Paid Time Off: sick leave and vacation;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; andBase salary of $20/hr;For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, JBS and Pilgrim s is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role. This position does not have an application deadline.
