Here, you will make an impact by:Leading system software design and architecture decisions to create a scalable, optimized, reusable, and secure data streaming platform for use in medical devices.Defining and implementing industry-standard best practices to design, develop, code, test, and debug server-side (back-end) software.Building new technology that enables the company to grow efficiently and quickly with an intense focus on customer needs.Working in all stages of technology development – from early R&D through commercialization.  Platform development, application development, and applied research are all in scope.Collaborating effectively within the Corporate Research Labs, across business groups and functions, and with external partners to create solutions that positively impact patient and clinician experiences.Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 8 years of experience in back-end software development OR High School Diploma/GED from AND 12 years of embedded system design experienceJava/JVM languages OR other object-oriented languages (C#, Ruby)Experience developing and architecting APIs and microservicesBest practices for development with public cloud environments, preferably AWSExperience with automated end-to-end testingAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering from an accredited institutionExperience with relational (i.e. Postgres) and NoSQL (i.e. Redis) data storesHands-on experience with Docker and containerization best practicesCI/CD experience, particularly CodePipeline or Github ActionsExperience with Unix and familiarity with the command-line and shell scriptingDomain knowledge of data modeling or business operations in the healthcare sectorExperience with AWS services such as ECS, S3, Lambda, and particularly IoTExperience with Spring and Spring Boot (or .NET Framework, Ruby on Rails)Knowledge of monolithic and microservice based architectures, and the trade-offs they entailExperience with Github, Jira, Confluence, MavenData ingestion and query optimization best practicesExperience in Healthcare industry or other regulated industryWork location: Hybrid Eligible: Maplewood, MN OR Pittsburgh, PA at least 3 days per weekTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being Solventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
