Make history with us.Job SummaryThe Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Engineering Department at the Manufacturing site. Engineering accountabilities include leadership and support of site project engineer development, the creation and execution of the site's 5-year capital plan, capital management, system upgrades, equipment installation, productivity savings, facility infrastructure, wastewater, utilities and energy management and continuous improvement engagement. The Engineering Manager will also provide guidance and technical support to operations and Leadership on the Plant Leadership Team.Scope of ResponsibilityThe Engineering Manager will serve as a key contributor to the Plant Leadership Team offering perspective and leadership in all technical areas of the operation. The Engineering Manager is expected to be a key strategic change leader that guides and influences the overall strategic plan. The position is responsible for the site's technical services inclusive of project engineering, systems engineering and environmental engineering. The Engineering Manager is responsible for setting the strategy for those in his or her organization and for oversight of the plant or site's capital and maintenance budgets.Roles that will fall under the leadership of the PTM include Project Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Controls Engineer, Reliability Engineers, and potentially System Engineers depending on site leadership structure. All sites will not necessarily have all roles listed.As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing 2-3 Technical Direct Reports.Key Responsibilities Lead and champion the technical team vision that aligns with the site vision. Technical team should be a cohesive group that is highly leveraged and effectively utilized to support a lean manufacturing organization.Lead the creation, submission, and explanation of the Annual and 5-year Capital Plan that aligns with corporate ROIC expectations.Oversee the effective execution of the Annual Capital Plan. Includes monitoring and support of individual project execution with the use of Early Management Tools. Projects must be effectively integrated with safety, quality, operations, maintenance, and other support areas that are regulated such as energy and environmental.Accountability for site technical relationships with vendors.Lead and support energy reduction efforts and sustainability initiatives.Serve as a subject matter expert in the use of TPM based CI improvement tools including a wide range of Early Management tools, Root Cause Analysis and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).Meet or exceed all Campbell's Environmental Policies and Regulatory Requirements on the site. Support productivity and cost savings efforts on the plant site through technical knowledge and leadership. Capable of leveraging TPM and Lean principles and processes to support sustainability of improvement efforts such as resource conservation of site utilities (energy, water, compressed air).Participate in development of site strategies for the execution of continuous improvement methodologies.Responsible for selection and development of technical leaders for the manufacturing site. Accountable for technical personnel training and development.Responsible for supporting and executing corporate policy and procedure at the site level.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering related field required.3+ years of experience required.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPosition requires demonstrated leadership skills in the development of maintenance programs, continuous improvement work environments; self-directed work teams; development of multi-skilled technician skill sets; good verbal and written communication skills, self-management/organizational skills, and good people skills.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel. The employee must be able to sit most of the day, typing and using the phone.Office environment: noise level is usually moderate.Minimal travel may be required.Compensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$85,900-$140,800Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
