We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsThe Nurse Manager is a working manager, who is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center/Pre- Admission Testing Clinic You will oversee the planning, directing and controlling of the staffing assignments in accordance with objectives and policies to insure effective coverage of the department, and maintain productivity targets. You will plan and direct staff activities You will participate in unit activities/operations. You will create and maintain a clean and safe environment. What qualifications you will need:3+ years of experience required 2+ years of experience in a supervisory/charge nurse position in surgery/day surgeryAS degree- Nursing required, BSN preferred Registered Nurse license in Texas. This 300+ bed facility features a 24-hour emergency department, the regions largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the internationally-renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. David's Neuroscience & Spine Institute. The full scope of services provided at St. David's Medical Center includes cancer care, heart and vascular care, imaging services, joint replacement and orthopedics, women's services, complex surgical services, and a Bariatric Surgery Center.
