Trade Deduction Specialist

General Summary:Investigates and analyzes outstanding customer deductions/chargebacks to determine compliance with agreement terms. Utilizes Microsoft Excel daily, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros, to review and format customer data. Carries out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.2. Monitors assigned customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.3. Analyzes and processes customer deductions, including post audits for assigned accounts. This includes validation by using Excel and other software to substantiate findings.4. Engages customers, brokers, sales staff, supervisor or manager as required to resolve complex issues.5. Communicates with brokers, customers, sales and internal staff on outstanding unauthorized deductions, this includes understanding the process for requesting and collecting repayment of invalid deductions, identifying trends and resolving issues which cause invalid deductions.6. Identifies and drives process improvement for reducing administrative costs by streamlining processes and reducing deduction volume.Job Specifications and Requirements1. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information in understandable terms at all levels of the organization.2. Strong interpersonal skills as candidate is required to deal with people both individually and in groups to resolve conflicts.3. Strong PC and 10-key skills, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOPUP, Macros is a plus), and data conversion software skills4. A minimum of 2 years' experience in Credit/Trade deductions, food industry is preferred. 5. Ability to work in a multi-task environment with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and specific time constraints.6. Ability to adapt to the business' changing needs. 7.
