Controls and minimizes operating expensesMaintains existing facilities and equipment; replaces or makes adjustments to warehouse facilities and equipment when necessarySpearheads the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes to allow company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, and business goals and objectivesAssumes responsibility for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the warehouse as requiredCollaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel, designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organizationMotivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the team as needed; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development programEnsures that OSHA requirements are effectively implementedConducts performance appraisals. Provides measurable feedback to assigned personnel and suggestions for improved performance. Formulates and implements employee corrective actions as neededPerform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for locationPerform other relevant job duties as requiredGood judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Experience:Five or more years of related experience, with at least two or more years of supervisory experienceKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Excellent understanding of inventory control and management proceduresUnderstanding of Company operationsKnowledge of budgeting, supply contracts, and shipping requirementsExcellent leadership abilitiesAble to use all related maintenance equipment and computer applicationsPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:Some travel may be requiredMost work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environmentIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminalWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearStooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job dutiesAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
