Must work with a high degree of independence and maintain a high level of productivity and able to work within Standard Repair times.Top Reasons to Apply:Great starting pay$30.00/hr (Annual estimated salary of $60,000 - $62,400)1st Shift Opening (10 am - 6:30 pm, Monday - Friday)Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Plan.What you will be doing:Perform scheduled preventative maintenance ( PM ), DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.Perform minor adjustment and repairs on various types of trucks and trailers including, but not limited to the following: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (automatic), Differentials, etc.Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and to ensure that they are working properly.Independently manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle, conducting safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections of vehicle.Work with and listen effectively to internal customers to assess their needs, providing information or assistance, resolving their problems, or satisfying their expectations.Communicate with management via email or phone on work assignments providing feedback on needed repairs obtaining approvals when necessary. Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.Worker is subject to hazards such as proximity to moving parts, electrical current and moving objects carrying considerable weight and force.Use hand tools, precision instruments, as well as pneumatic tools, welding equipment, lift and jacks.Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Repair Orders.Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in timely manner.Maintain a high level of productivity ensuring work tasks are completed efficiently.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements: What we need from you:Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have valid driver s license and meet company minimum driving qualifications.Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.Minimum of 3 years of experience as Diesel & Gas Technician on medium to heavy-duty equipment repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experience.Requires strong communication skills (written and verbal).Must have basic math proficiency.Be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Adequate Welding skills.Must be proficient in the use of a computer and software programs.Be able to work unsupervised and make service calls when needed.The physical and mental demands described in each job posting are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of each job.
