We are actively recruiting a Director of Digital Architecture for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a contract opportunity with the potential to go full-time that will require working onsite in Knoxville. This is a highly visible position that will have a big impact on the future of digital roadmap, providing an opportunity to capitalize on a variety of digital platforms (including native mobile app development and web development) and the potential for global impact. The Director of Digital Architecture will oversee the design, development, and implementation of digital architecture solutions that align with the company's business objectives and technology strategy. This role involves defining the digital architecture strategy, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of digital platforms.

Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for digital architecture that aligns with business goals and technology strategy
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of digital architecture solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application development, infrastructure, and business units, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of digital initiatives
  • Oversee the selection and integration of new technologies and platforms to enhance digital capabilities
  • Establish and enforce architecture principles, guidelines, and standards
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in digital architecture and recommend their adoption where beneficial

Professional Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Digital Architect, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance digital solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of architecture frameworks, principles, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, microservices, API design, and modern development practices
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives and leading large-scale digital projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to digital architecture and security
  • Significant experience leading and mentoring teams of developers, designers, and IT professionals.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale digital development projects from inception to completion.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Ability to develop and implement digital development strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Experience in budget planning, financial management, and resource allocation for digital projects.
  • Understanding of market trends and ability to drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to gather and interpret customer feedback and incorporate it into digital development strategies.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital architecture or related roles required, with at least 5 years in a leadership position preferred.
  • Experience in the cinema exhibition industry or a technology-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and analytics platforms.
