Location: Austin TX
The Role: Sr Post Silicon Validation Engineer

We are seeking someone that will take ownership of post-silicon validation of I3C HW.
  • Write software drivers for I3C hardware on a custom ASIC to drive traffic for validation and characterization of the underlying silicon.
  • Debug this hardware/software combination using the ASIC bringup board, oscilloscope, etc. Must understand I3C protocol, especially who is driving/listening on the wire.
  • Work closely with our team to develop the validation and characterization plan.

Must Have:
  • Familiarity with I3C protocol
  • C programming skill, firmware level
  • Oscilloscope use
  • Knowledge of silicon, electrical validation and assembly language

Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of silicon characterization, e.g. measurement of different types of jitter and noise.
  • Experience with I3C Compliance testing (MIPI)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Solid knowledge of distributed version control systems (DVCS) such as Git.
  • Experience in C.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and industry best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Knowledge of ASIC/Silicon Bring Up lab equipment like high speed scopes, power supplies
  • Familiarity with firmware and software debug Experience in FPGA or Emulation based pre-silicon validation Performance and/or Power analysis and validation.
  • Experience with verification infrastructure and Verilog coding
