Description:
A local healthcare domain is parterning with TEKsystems in looking for a Network Engineer Consultant. The Network Engineer's purpose and responsibility is to perform needs analysis and provide engineering, configuration and troubleshooting expertise in the Routing, Switching and Firewall functionality on the corporate and customer network. Defines and implements solutions as well as recommends appropriate computer tools to users including equipment software, documentation, and training.
Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Switch/Router/Firewall engineering, troubleshooting and configuration as needed in all global locations, circuit management, and any other network related activities.
  • Develop and Maintain network and security toolsets.
  • Ongoing management of global network and security monitoring systems. This includes configuration, node updates and documentation.
  • Defines and implements solutions as well as recommends appropriate computer tools to users including equipment software, documentation, and training.
  • Consult with vendors, teammates, other technical teams in the development of the technical landscape aligned with industry trends.
  • Lead in all corporate network audit activities as needed for compliancy.
  • Provide informal leadership to network teammates.
  • Regularly Scheduled On-call Rotation is required to support priority customer calls for events associated with outages.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Incumbent is accountable for professional working behavior to include building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in corporate environment deploying, developing, and supporting enterprise class networks
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Expertise in Cisco router troubleshooting, maintenance and configuration
Expertise in Cisco Route/Switch/Firewall troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration (NX OS, IOS, ASA)
Expertise in Cisco firewall troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration
Expertise in development and management of SNMP, SNMP Traps and Syslog
Configuration of Enterprise level, Network Monitoring industry standard toolsets (Solarwinds, InfoBlox or equivalent)
Management in the installation and troubleshooting of Corporate WAN Circuits for Enterprise and customer use
Enterprise class network documentation and presentation of Engineering solutions
Enterprise Wireless troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration
Network Auditing for compliancy
Research and Development Experience
Ability to work independently without a lot of direction
Ability to analyze and solve issues
Ability to lead team members and provide training on an as needed basis
Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment.
