Network Engineer

We're seeking a skilled WAN Network Engineer to join our team at Fiserv, a global leader in Fintech and payments. As a key member of our network engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and deploying remote customer network connectivity solutions that enable the consumption of all Fiserv services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their network requirements and provide technical support to ensure satisfaction.
  • Work closely with network engineering teams, operations, and development teams to automate network deployments and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and implement WAN solutions to meet client requirements, including configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor WAN performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network reliability and security.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure network resilience.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in WAN engineering on large-scale enterprise-class networks.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) route distribution and router filtering.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development specifically in Python, GIT, Ansible, and YAML.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Experience working with various network solutions (SDWAN, MPLS, IPsec, S2S, and DMVPN) and Layer 2 protocols (HSRP and VRRP).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
  • Load balancers and firewall knowledge.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, or Washington.
