Workday Data Archive Lead

Our healthcare client is seeking a Data Archive Lead to oversee the archival of legacy data as part of a Workday ERP implementation. The ideal candidate will manage the planning, execution, and governance of data archiving strategies, ensuring compliance with retention policies, and data integrity during the transition. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement archiving solutions that meet both business and regulatory requirements. This is a contract role that may require occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a data archiving strategy for legacy systems during Workday ERP implementation.
  • Collaborate with business units and IT teams to determine data retention requirements and policies.
  • Ensure archived data is secure, accessible, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the extraction and migration of data to archival systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage data cleanup and preparation for archiving, ensuring proper documentation and cataloging.
  • Work closely with the Workday implementation team to ensure smooth data transition from legacy systems.
  • Create and maintain archiving documentation, including data access protocols and retention schedules.
  • Provide ongoing support for archived data access, reporting, and retrieval as needed.
  • Ensure data governance standards are maintained throughout the archiving process.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, with a focus on data archiving and retention policies.
  • Experience in Workday ERP implementations or other large-scale ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance regulations, and archival best practices.
  • Experience with data migration and archiving tools.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Workday-specific archiving and data management tools.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Experience working in HR, Finance, or Payroll data environments.
