Head of Advanced Analytics

We are looking for Head of Global Advanced Analytics - Patient Solutions who is influential, emotionally intelligent, and innovative to join us in our Global Integrated Insights and Analytics team. requires up to 10% travel domestically and internationally.
About The Role
You will deliver data-driven actionable insights that create patient value and ensure the right allocation of resources for insight generation. This role leads an analytics team focused on commercial assessments and viabilities for our early pharma assets within the Global Advanced Analytics Engine (the center of excellence and delivery for strategic, tactical, and operational guidance, expertise, and execution capacity), providing knowledge and actionable insights to drive objective, evidence-based decision-making to support our pipeline drugs, helping create strategic insights for commercial planning.
Who You'll Work With
You will lead a team of up to eight direct reports and will also work with other teams including new product planning, real world evidence, translational medicine, clinical trial operations and recruitment, and clinical strategy teams. You will also work with Commercial teams, finance and science and technology Services. Externally, you may work with data insights contractors/vendors.
Required Experience:
1. In-House Pharma Experience
- Drug Development Process: Supporting R&D efforts, clinical trials, and the drug approval process (phases I-IV), working with cross-functional teams to move a drug from concept to market.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that the company adheres to all regulations set forth by entities like the FDA, EMA, and other international regulatory bodies. This includes preparing regulatory submissions, monitoring quality systems, and staying updated on changing guidelines.
- Commercialization: Overseeing product launches, marketing strategy, sales operations, and market access strategies to ensure the successful commercial launch of drugs.
- Supply Chain and Manufacturing: Managing or coordinating activities related to the production and distribution of pharmaceutical products, ensuring they meet regulatory standards.
- Medical Affairs: Working closely with healthcare professionals and regulatory authorities to communicate the clinical value and safety of pharmaceutical products.
- Pharmacovigilance: Monitoring and reporting any adverse drug reactions (ADRs) post-market to ensure patient safety.
- Strategic Advisory: Helping pharmaceutical companies with high-level decisions around market entry, pricing, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, and competitive analysis.
- Regulatory Support: Assisting pharma clients in navigating the regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance with global and local regulations, and supporting FDA/EMA submission processes.
- Operational Improvement: Streamlining processes across R&D, supply chain, sales, and marketing to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Market Access and Pricing: Advising on market access strategies, including how to negotiate with payers, and developing pricing models that align with both company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Data and Analytics: Providing insights through data analysis, modeling, and forecasting for clinical trials, patient outcomes, or market trends to guide decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Drive early patient solutions strategic objectives by supporting fact-based decision making through data and analytics projects.
- Ensure that the right seats at the relevant tables are "earned to secure the advanced analytics function involvement in the right discussions with the right stakeholders.
- Evolve the adoption and usage of (secondary) data and advanced analytics by demonstrating its impact and evolve client to become a reference in the industry.
- Drive an enhanced communication capabilities within your team where people obtain a deep business understanding.
- Translate business questions into tangible solutions and outcomes.
- Drive deep partnership with the Hub insights teams.
- Foster the ideation and creation of new analytics capabilities and models where driving impact for client.
- Be the corporate leader of data-driven insights to support tactical business opportunities, and be a champion for a data-driven, decision-making culture.

- Master/Doctor's degree in quantitative area is preferred, Bachelor's is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in acting as a bridge between functional and technical teams, challenging each team on their assumptions.
- Strong experience working in early patient solutions within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
- You must also be able to interpret model results and identify potential model errors (e.g., overfitting, model bias, correlation vs causation).
- You are driven by impact and possess strong creativity in piercing through disparate data sets to solve business questions.
