CV Resources is urgently seeking a Senior Finance Specialist on a long-term temporary basis for an esteemed higher-education organization in Eugene, OR This role has the possibility to convert to full-time permanent down the line. The Senior Financial Specialist manages and resolves issues related to complex institutional and student accounts including handling transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Specialist works independently to process cash and electronic transactions, manage refunds, and communicate with staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and balance account details using internal controls.
- Review and resolve account issues with staff or managers.
- Process and troubleshoot transactions from various systems.
- Generate and analyze financial reports and data files.
- Handle weekly refunds and adjust data as needed.
- Reconcile daily cashier sessions and prepare deposits.
- Communicate with students and staff about account issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant regulations.
Skills Needed:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial software and reporting systems.
- Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field preferred.
