Primary Job Duties:

The Application Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling water treatment products, requiring strong organizational and communication skills, along with a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will pursue sales leads, promote products, and offer technical support to channel partners and users. If you fit this description, we encourage you to apply.

  • Promote the sale of the company's products through distributor networks, direct to customers, consultants, and other channels as appropriate.
  • Support outside sales staff as key technical advisor, identifying and providing reliable solutions to assure customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process.
  • Review RFPs/RFIs and prepare quotations and submittal proposals based on product knowledge and customer needs.
  • Utilize technical knowledge, processes, and computerized and non-computerized tools to assess the potential application of the company's products to offer solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Develop technical offers for engineered products, including, but not limited to, cost estimates, energy analysis, drawings, specifications, and other information as requested by the customer.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Order Management, Engineering, Project Management & Production for accurate product specifications and timely delivery schedules.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical fields.
  • 2-5 years of application engineering experience
  • Customer-focused with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to meet customer deadlines and maintain job records.
  • Sales experience in pumps and pumping equipment in various markets is a plus.
