Exciting opportunity to join Avera St Anthony's as a Respiratory Therapist

$15,000 sign-on bonus

 

Position Highlights:

  • May be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a three-year commitment
  • PTO on Day 1 and Options for Free Health Insurance 
  • Student Loan Repayment:  This position is eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster .
  • You will positively impact each patient you serve at St Anthony's and collaborate with other departments to provide the best patient care.
  • Our Respiratory Team is flexible and supports each other within our caring work environment. 
  • We are a critical access hospital with 25 beds, a new ER, 3 OR rooms, 2 procedure rooms and an attached clinic.

Job Summary

  • You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, which may include, but not limited to oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, airway clearance, blood gases, airway management, non-invasive and invasive ventilator setup and monitoring.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care preferred.
  • 1-2 years relevant experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care required.
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Nebraska required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Required within 6 months:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification 
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification 
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Variable Days Schedule - 9 or 12 hour shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
