Job Description Your role will focus on structural engineering design for building facilities at water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as industrial facilities. You will be tasked to design concrete, steel, and masonry structures, including the use of ACI 350 for Environmental Structures. You will conduct condition assessments of existing structures. A part of your role will also include preparing construction specifications and utilizing software like STAAD Pro, RAM, Enercalc for structural design. You'll also work in coordination with architects, process mechanical engineers, and other engineering staff. Work Environment The selected candidate will report to the Manager or another senior team member depending on their level of experience. The role involves independent work as well as collaborative efforts with a team of 12 engineers and designers. Independent tasks will involve smaller projects such as designing a tank. Support is available at all times. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 4 years of Structural Design Experience of Industrial Building Facilities Minimum 1 year of Structural Design Experience of Wastewater Treatment Plants and Water Industrial Facilities STAAD or RISA MathCAD Experience Familiarity with ACI 350 - Design concrete structures utilizing ACI 350 for Environmental Structures Knowledge of Design of Concrete, Steel, and Masonry structures Professional Engineer License About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
