Job Summary:
The Gate Clerk / Office Administrator provides critical administrative support across multiple departments including Transportation, Quality Control, and the General Office. This role involves managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, handling document processing, and overseeing the scale house operations for weighing semi-trucks. The ideal candidate will have robust software skills, strong internet research capabilities, and excellent communication abilities.

Paid Vacation

  • 40 hours per year (monthly accrual). Accrual period starts January 1. The PTO balance will be prorated for the year depending on the start date.
Paid Holidays
  • Seven paid holidays per year.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently handle phone calls and direct them to appropriate departments.
  • Operate and manage the scale house activities.
  • Support dispatch and transportation team through backup and clerical assistance.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, primarily using Microsoft Excel.
  • Collaborate daily with plant and transportation personnel, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an administrative support role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Abilities:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment operations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail.
