As a Test Engineer Intern with Moxion Power Co. you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside the Systems Test team supporting our validation efforts by running reliability and durability tests. This internship will provide you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in automating test procedures for mobile energy storage systems. You’ll gain exposure to high voltage equipment, thermal chambers, industry standard test tools, and will collaborate with third party labs.
What you’ll do:
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Analyze test results and create and maintain test reports.
  • Support the Design Verification efforts by following relevant industry standards and requirements.
  • Use battery cyclers, high power loads, thermal chambers, and other test equipment.
  • Work with third party labs as needed.
  • Collaborate with system integration engineers and cross functionally to coordinate testing efforts and share insights for effective validation.
  • Identify and document defects, anomalies, and performance issues, and work with the development team to facilitate their resolution.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of test environments, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Participate in design reviews
Skills to be successful:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of test engineering principles and practices
  • Capability to automate test procedures
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, etc.) 
  • Experience with electrical testing tools and equipment 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay Equity
Moxion is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. Compensation displayed is a range. Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements.  We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience.  Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change. 
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
