General Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer with a strong background in Kaizen methodologies. The ideal candidate will drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across our organization, enhancing productivity, efficiency, and overall operational excellence. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and lead Kaizen events to achieve measurable results. The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for overall operational efficiency. They will look across the entire organization to identify and prioritize efficiency opportunities and enhancements to the customer experience. This will encompass an extensive evaluation of the existing process and the design and implementation of repeatable, efficient and sustainable process solutions. This person will also be responsible for working closely with the department Sr leadership team while applying business process improvement, project management, and change management methodologies with oversight from the Chief Operations Officer to ensure alignment in reaching objectives.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Kaizen Implementation:
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate Kaizen events and workshops.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the identification and elimination of waste, and process inefficiencies.
  • Develop and execute action plans based on Kaizen event outcomes.
  • Ensure sustainability of improvements by implementing standard work and follow-up audits.
2. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive process enhancements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to continuous improvement activities.
3. Training and Development:
  • Train employees at all levels on Kaizen principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor team members in the application of continuous improvement techniques.
4. Project Management:
  • Manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate resources and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, delivering expected results.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on continuous improvement activities and outcomes.
  • Use statistical tools and software to support data-driven decision-making.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with department leaders and employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote and sustain improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external partners and industry groups to benchmark and implement best practices.
Job Qualifications Recommended:
Preferred Qualifications:

o Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a relevant business-oriented stream

o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a continuous improvement role, with specific experience in Kaizen methodologies

o Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred

o Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls

o Proficient in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., WMS, Excel).

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management in a persuasive manner

o Strategic thinking, honesty, and ethics in business dealings.

o Unmatched budgeting, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

o Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams

o Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

o Top-notch supervisory and conflict resolution skills.
Work Environment:

1) This is an US based position operating out of one of our Warehouse's

o This position may require up to 50% travel to other company sites.

o The work environment includes both office and manufacturing floor settings. Warehouse Environmental Conditions are as follows;

o Moderate noise level in the work environment.

o Work environment is indoors.

o Warehouse temperatures may vary depending on outside temperatures.
Physical Demands:

o Sight: Must be able to see well enough to read product lot numbers and expiration dates, read reports, and use a computer.

o Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate in person or via technology, and to hear warning signals of forklifts and warehouse equipment.

o Standing: Must be able to stand for shift duration.

o Walking: Must be able to walk without assistance to perform job duties.

o Mobility: Must be able to be mobile to operate warehouse machinery.

o Sitting: Must be able to sit for shift duration.

o Stooping, Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel for short periods of time.

o Lifting: Must be able to lift 30 lbs - 50 lbs.

o Hand Mobility: Must be able to have mobility in hands to open and seal packaging, utilize keyboard functions, and utilize phone systems.
Contingencies:
