General Summary of Position:

Granite is looking for a highly motivated, experienced and capable Technical Solutions Trainer to train new sales employees through the Sales Onboarding Program and support the ongoing training and development of Sales Teammates in the area of Solution Selling.The Technical Solutions Sales Trainer will partner with the Manager of Sales Leadership Development to ensure execution of Product Training and Technical Solution Selling Training. This role is critical to our organization as it will help support and scale our Solution Selling transformation and help with the development of our critical growth asset, our sales organization and our sales talent. The Technical Solutions Sales Trainer will also provide ongoing Product Skills and Solution Selling Skills training and support for sales teams in all of our remote sales offices and will also assist the Sales Directors with the development of new and existing sales teammates. The Technical Solutions Sales Trainer will help teach, coach, mentor and observe new sales teammates in their respective sales branches to help with Product knowledge, Product and Application Skills and Technical Solution Selling Skills. This position can be based in QUINCY, MA or any of our Granite Offices in RI, NYC, ATLANTA, ORLANDO or WEST PALM BEACH and would be an ideal career development opportunity for a current Solution Engineer, Product expert or technically proficient sales teammate or customer facing Operations teammate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and continuously improving Granite product and solution selling skills training programs, as well as on-going technical learning and development to support the transformation of the sales organization to a more technically capable solution selling team.
  • Facilitating technical product and applications learning related to our total suite of product offerings and services, in addition to supporting and helping to scale up our Solution Selling program and capabilities. Teaching key Granite products and services and how they go together to provide technical product solutions for our Customers.
  • Utilizing a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of technical product and solution selling training program. Creating sales training content using the Granite Skill Training methodology and working with internal subject matter experts to create training materials and deliver powerful and impactful training and certification programs.
  • Collaborating with existing subject matter experts within Granite to bring relevant training content into our Sales Training Onboarding Program as well as additional training sessions that will take place post onboarding.
  • Create and revise learning assessments, practice activities, roleplays and certifications for measuring knowledge transfer to on the job performance and ensuring that all sales teammates are fully training and enabled for success.
  • Partnering with Sales leaders in every branch to help sales teammates along their Sales Path to Progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-5 Years + Granite experience in Solution Engineering, Product Management
  • Experience in Sales or a Sales facing Operational role also acceptable. Granite product expertise required.
  • Some Ops or Sales training experience or some prior sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient with IT systems and Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and a self-starter.
  • Experience with instructional design, adult learning concepts sales training content development.
  • Consistent work ethic and commitment to the success and development of sales teammates.
  • Knowledge of Granite sales process and internal process and systems
  • Knowledge of Granite Products and Services required and experience with Technical Solutions a plus.
  • Positive attitude towards helping to develop our Sales Organization Required
  • Willingness to undertake reasonable travel in order to have a personal presence in our sales offices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years Granite Telecommunications industry experience.
  • Experience with classroom facilitation and training methodology.
  • Formal background and training as an educator is highly valued and preferred or other relevant experience
  • Solution Engineering, Sales experience or Ops experience within Granite a considerable plus
  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com CRM a plus
  • Prior experience as a Sales Rep or Premier Rep or another internal Granite role is a strong plus.
  • Ability to relate to sales teams and sales leadership is required
