Description

Kalan is looking for a Staff Accountant who will work across all areas of the Accounting Department, participating in reconciliations and booking transactions to the GL. In addition, the Staff Accountant will support the rest of the Accounting team members and back up the work of accounts receivable and accounts payable when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes.
  • Calculate various monthly accruals.
  • Assist in quarterly royalty and commissions processes and reconciliation.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
  • Review expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
  • Provide supplemental support to A/P, A/R and payroll teams when needed.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all accounts receivable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts receivable files.
  • Oversee the research and analysis of customer payment discrepancies to ensure they are handled accurately and adjust accounts as needed.
  • Review AR aging weekly and ensure collections of delinquent accounts is timely and successful.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of related accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with ERP/Accounting systems, with a strong preference for Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI reporting

You must be able to work in our office in Lansdowne, PA. Employees may work remote some days after an initial training period in the office, but candidates should only apply if local to our office.
