Work as an Application Engineer for a global OEM considered a world leader in modernized processing equipment used in food, pharmaceutical, and other industries worldwide. They've been in business since 1950 and offer competitive pay and great benefits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a system concept and create a conceptual layout drawing (CLD) of the proposed system
  • Generate pricing for equipment utilizing internal pricing tools and soliciting bids from vendors
  • Work with the Sales team to generate pricing and proposals for customers.
  • Revise the drawing, pricing, and proposal as needed
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing to establish a delivery schedule
  • Prepare projects for handoff to the Project Management team. Answer questions during mfg and installation.
  • Occasionally travel to customer locations with the Sales Managers. Answer questions about equipment
  • Interface with the following groups:
    • Project Engineers when establishing system layouts
    • Production Engineers when developing schedules
    • Development Engineers when discussing the application of new design concepts
  • Use software programs including:
    • AutoCAD LT to create conceptual layout drawings
    • Salesforce and BigMachines to generate pricing and proposals
    • SAP to enter order information and research historical data
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Associate of Applied Science degree in an engineering-related field
  • AutoCAD experience to produce 2-dimensional drawings
  • Able to travel 15-20% (one to two trips per month)
