Seeking a Union Benefits Coordinator in the Omaha Area Job Description As a Union Benefits Coordinator, you will work independently to process and translate payroll reports, make payments to unions, and conduct investigative work to resolve any discrepancies. You will also be responsible for communicating with unions and fund administrators, utilizing SAP, and ensuring the accurate remittance of union payments and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Responsibilities Remit union payments and reconcile general ledger accounts for US union benefit payments. Research and process trust fund discrepancy correspondence in a timely manner. Reconcile union benefit general ledger accounts. Maintain union benefit folders and remittance forms. Manage assigned cases in Service Now. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external departments. Collaborate with co-workers and internal and external company departments to promote continuous improvement. Ensure reliable and consistent attendance. Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement. Perform other job-related tasks as needed or assigned. Essential Skills Payroll experience Analytical mindset Experience with payroll processing and data entry Proficiency in Excel Union experience Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Detail-oriented Self-motivated and able to take initiative Good communication skills Additional Skills & Qualifications SAP experience (preferred) Experience with union contracts and/or payroll Ability to speak French (a huge plus) Willingness to work with Canadian groups Experience with payroll tax (nice to have) Work Environment This is a contract position for 6 months with the potential to become permanent based on performance and headcount approval. You will work in a close-knit group that values independence and taking ownership of your duties. The team gets along great and participates in quarterly outings, events, and volunteering. The work schedule is any 8-hour shift between 7 am and 6 pm, with a hybrid option available after 90 days based on payment scheduling. Occasionally, there may be 2-3 hours of required overtime during the first 2 weeks of the month.
