Job Title: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Registered Nurse

License: Current Massachusetts RN License
Certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM (every 2 years)
Must-Have: Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, & Newborn Care

Description:
This role involves working in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery Unit.
The unit includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Care, Operating Rooms, Recovery Rooms, and Antepartum Rooms.
The clinician-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 for evaluations and 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural.
Postpartum ratio is 1:3-4.
The patient population includes mothers and babies.
The unit has 5 labor and delivery rooms, 12 postpartum rooms, 2 operating rooms, 2 recovery rooms, and 2 antepartum rooms with 4 beds.
The average daily census is 15-25 mothers, babies, and labors.
The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
Floating is not required.
This is a rotating shift position with one night on call.
Day shifts rotate between 7 am-7 pm, 11 am-11 pm, and 7 pm-7 am.
Evening and night shifts are straight shifts.
ACLS certification is preferred.
