Description:
This position is for a registered nurse in a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit.
The unit has 25 beds and includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn care areas, two operating rooms, two recovery rooms, and two antepartum rooms with a total of four beds.
The facility has a total of over 400 beds, including 220 Medical-Surgical beds and an Intensive Care Unit.
Clinician to patient ratios are 1:2-3 for evaluations in Labor & Delivery, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium infusions, or patients with an epidural.
Postpartum nurse to patient ratio is 1:3-4.
The patient population includes mothers, babies, and laboring individuals.
Average daily census is 15-25.
The charting system used is EPIC.
Floating is not required.
Additional preferred certification is ACLS.
