We are urgently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Milwaukee. This is an **immediate Temp-to-Hire** opportunity, with the position initially serving on a temporary basis until fully trained, at which point it will convert to a permanent role. Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting monthly financial closing and the provision of all related financial reporting for the division in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reviews Balance Sheet reconciliations and facilitates clearing un-reconciled items properly according to internal policies.
  • Process hourly, salary and ad-hoc supplemental payrolls using Data Collection and ERP systems.
  • Daily balancing of inventory and partnering with Operations and Purchasing to ensure alignment/resolution
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Work directly with Division Leadership to identify/promote continuous improvement and Lean initiatives in operations, asset management and productivity programs to maximize operating efficiencies and profitability
  • Acts as consultant to various functional areas of the division with regards to financial issues
  • Continuous partnership with the Data Analytics and IT teams during all system enhancements and integrations
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience within in a mid-to-large size, publicly held, manufacturing company (or division thereof); experience at a "Big 4" or "Tier 2" accounting firm preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of US GAAP and working in a SOX environment is required.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in financial reporting/consolidation systems
  • High energy change agent with proven ability to effectively manage and complete multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Experience with implementing, enhancing, and building templates for financial consolidation and business intelligence systems

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required. MBA is preferred. Accreditation in Accounting (CPA, CMA, or CIA) highly desirable.
