Network Security Engineer

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide network security expertise for the largest Intranet in the world in support of the United States Navy.
  • Collaborate with the Network Operations Center and other teams to enhance network security appliances, automation, and best practices.
  • Lead the development of Network Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis for Problem Management activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III Certification (CISSP or CASP) and an Associate level Network Vendor Certification.
  • Extensive experience in network security, maintenance, and configuration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to work off-hours and travel up to 25%, potentially OCONUS.
