Overview The Director of Warehousing and Inventory Management is responsible for strategy development, planning, and daily execution of inventory management, warehouse operations and supply chain logistics across all three PPL operating companies. This includes using analytics to optimize inventory levels, ensure accurate inventory records, and reduce costs; and overseeing the storage and distribution of goods. Responsibilities Develop and implement inventory and warehouse management strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts. Build and manage complex inventory strategies that align with financial company goals. Ensure accurate inventory records and assist with conducting regular inventory audits. Manage and develop the Warehousing and Inventory Management team to ensure performance objectives and goals are achieved. Work with employees to establish individual development plans, and foster a supportive work environment conducive to career growth and development. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Monitor and analyze inventory and warehouse performance metrics. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards. Promote effective communication between indirect planning, supply planning, and inventory management to build delivery plans. Manage the open-to-buy process and deliver against annual plans. Resolve issues related to product shipment delays. Lead channel allocation strategies. Essential support preparation of regional demand planning. Work with global supply chain to determine different inventory optimization plans and establish requirements Work in close relation with category managers to achieve regional goals, meet commitments to accounts; analyze confirmed deliveries and challenge global supply chain for better supply/demand. All other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field. 7+ years of formal supervisory experience in inventory and warehouse management. Strong leadership and management skills to effectively manage and develop employees. Advanced experience in Excel including ability to develop charts, pivot tables, and advanced formulas. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and implement inventory and warehouse management strategies. Strong communication and collaboration skills which are necessary to work with other departments and ensure smooth and efficient operations. Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management software and systems to monitor and analyze performance metrics and ensure accurate inventory records. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word. Valid driver’s license required Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma Certification. Working knowledge of Infor, Oracle and Power BI with ability to expand knowledge where needed Physical Effort Primarily sitting with some standing and walking. Must be able to drive to remote locations.
