Reporting to our Director of IT, you’ll primarily work with a talented team of Help Desk Engineers and Systems Administrators within our infrastructure department. You will work with computer users throughout the company and outside vendors. A highlight of your day to day will include: Hardware/Software Installations: Set up and install cables, operating systems, software, hardware, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications; enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors. Support Requests: Resolve software or hardware operation issues; guide users through troubleshooting procedures and develop troubleshooting scripts. Record Keeping: Record daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial actions taken, and installation activities. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the infrastructure team to design, develop, analyze, modify, and test computer systems and programs based on users and system specifications. Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades. Security Awareness: Maintain a secure IT environment, fostering a culture of security consciousness within the company. Customer Service: Provide professional communication and excellent customer service when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders. You’re a lifelong learner with a combination of formal education (CompTIA A+ certification preferred) and 1 - 2 years of solid on-the-job experience including VOIP and Office 365.
