Major Goals and Responsibilities :

Providing high level support to Corporate Management while performing a variety of general accounting functions along with managing accounting, purchasing, and contract support personnel at Vitis Technologies.

Requirements

Essential Activities :

Accounting

• Manage the company's accounting and financial activities

• Produce accurate and timely financial statements

• Implement and maintain accounting controls and related documentation

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data

• Prepare journal entries and maintain and reconcile accounts

• Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Contract Management

• Provide technical accounting support to various departments

• Lead the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation concerning assigned functions and responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial metrics for reporting to Managers and Industry Peer Groups

• Collaborate with other departments as needed

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Prerequisites (i.e. education, experience):

• The candidate for this position must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. Possession of professional certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant designation, may also be required

• Minimum of 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience. Prior industry experience is considered an advantage

• The candidate must have proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Software

• The candidate should have a good understanding of QuickBooks software

• Polished appearance and demeanor

• Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for an employer without restriction

• Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work full-time.

• Must be able to sit, stand or stoop for long periods of time.

• Must be able to lift 20 pounds
