Ideally someone who wants to become a PM down the road. Main Responsibilities: Prepares construction documents, including construction plans, basis of design reports, and technical specifications. Monitor project schedules and review work schedules. Coordinates with team members, staff, private utilities, municipalities, consultants, and clients. Provides construction phase engineering support in the form of submittal reviews, RFI responses, engineer-of-record services, and startup and commissioning support. Will be working closely with the foremen and superintendents to monitor all activities. Prepare subcontractor agreements and supplier agreements and work through this communication around any changes in work or project costs. Assist in creating project CAD drawings. Responsible for quality control, schedules, and plan production. Delegates work and provides technical guidance to assure design is technically sound and cost-efficient. Assists with project and team management and mentors other design staff. Processes plans and resolves issues with plan reviewers. Skills: Construction management, Mechanical, Project engineering, Project management, Construction, Rfi, Change order, Engineering, water treatment, wastewater Additional Skills & Qualifications: Requires a 4 year engineering or construction related degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience 1 to 5 years’ experience in construction required Water/Wastewater experience is preferred Working knowledge in Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Advanced AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP and Revit software use required Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Great opportunity to work with a midsize firm with a lot of opportunity for early advancement and a huge project backlog so a lot of stability. Projects are located around the Peoria, Glendale, and North Phoenix areas. Will have a vehicle allowance and gas card. This is a salaried position. Hours will generally be Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm but this schedule could alter based on project demands and the PE will need to be flexible as needed. Will be spending a majority of their time in the field on project sites. No out of state travel.
