Description:

Join our client's Accredited Testing and Evaluation (AT&E, Common Criteria/FIPS) team and embark on an exciting opportunity in the growing IT Security field supporting National defense. You will work with products deployed into larger systems to facilitate secure communications for our military in the modern cyber warfare environment. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $63 - $73 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security evaluations and testing of IT products
  • Develop and maintain testing environments
  • Apply security standards to products and ensure compliance
  • Perform vulnerability analysis and penetration testing
  • Document and report testing results
  • Collaborate with team members and industry experts
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies
Experience Requirements:
Key Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of FIPS 140 requirements
  • Knowledge of cryptographic encryption algorithms, key exchange algorithms, hashing/message authentication algorithms, PKI, random number generators, etc.
  • Experience with various programming languages (C, C++, Python, or Java) and development environments
  • Ability to comprehend security standard requirements and apply them to products
  • Knowledge of common security-related protocols and their design (i.e., SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc.)
  • Experience building testing environments, performing testing, and reporting results (technical writing)
  • CVP Certified Tester

Additional Requirements:
  • Experience with VHDL and Verilog languages
  • Experience with debugging tools (GDB, WinDBG, Visual Studio, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical analysis of entropy sources
  • Knowledge of OpenSSL and/or OpenPGP
  • Vulnerability analysis and/or penetration testing expertise
  • Strong knowledge of computer security principles and best practices
  • Related certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Linux
  • Hands-on experience using tools such as an oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, signal generator, etc.
  • Knowledge of X.509 certificates and their attributes, as well as protocols such as CDP and OCSP
  • Experience setting up networks and familiarity with subnets and routing
Education Requirements:
  • BS degree in a relevant field
  • 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • CVP Certified Tester
