We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our logistics team. The Logistics Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining accurate logistics records.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely restocking.
Order Processing: Receive and process incoming orders, ensuring they are accurate and complete. Prepare orders for shipment and coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, receipts, and inventory. Prepare shipping documents, such as packing lists and bills of lading.
Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy. Report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate parties.
Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers to resolve logistical issues, track shipments, and provide updates to stakeholders.
Scheduling: Plan and coordinate shipments, deliveries, and pickups to optimize routes and minimize delays.
Compliance: Ensure that all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience in logistics, inventory management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using logistics and inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical ability to lift and move items as needed.
