Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Geotechnical Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage our geotechnical construction projects. The Superintendent will play a critical role in ensuring that all aspects of geotechnical work, including soil stabilization, foundation construction, and ground improvement, are executed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities:
Project Management:
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise geotechnical construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure objectives are achieved.
Supervision and Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor construction crews, subcontractors, and field staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure work is performed in compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee work quality and adherence to specifications.
Quality Control and Assurance:
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure geotechnical work meets industry standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and tests as required to verify compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
Safety Management:
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety on site, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Take proactive measures to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project coordination.

  • Address client inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in geotechnical or civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical construction methods, soil stabilization techniques, and foundation systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in geotechnical engineering or construction management are advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks on construction sites, including lifting and carrying equipment.
  • Stamina and endurance to work long hours and weekends as required.
