Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer I will be responsible for investigating software quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction. This role will identify and analyze bugs and errors found during the test phase. They will also document issues for review, report on the results, and collaborating with teams to fix application related issues.

Duties

• Participates in reviewing business documentation and specifications for all applications under deployment or consideration, to determine its intended functionality to assist in testing
• Execute manual test scripts with reliable and comprehensive test results
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise in the portals.
• Works closely with business, Project and Product Managers, Development and Infrastructure teams to understand system flows, processes and back end architecture
• Tests applications, upgrades, patches, customizations, as specified by requirements
• Identify bugs and potential problems within the software
• Conduct regular system checks to ensure the smooth functioning of the portals.
• Create clear and concise defect tickets with reproducible steps using the ticketing system
• Create and execute test cases for our various applications and products which include, but are not limited to; Website, Android/iOS platform
• Update and maintain test cases to keep the test suite current
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases to identify and report software defects across various functionalities.
• Document test cases, procedures, and findings clearly and concisely.
• Ensure all processes adhere to industry standards and company policies.
Regularly update and maintain accurate system documentation.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 6+ months of Software QA or equivalent experience
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and Zephyr preferred
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies and processes
• Knowledge of software testing lifecycles
• Familiarity with various testing tools and techniques
• Experience with mobile app testing.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have several projects in your active portfolio.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong critical thinking, appropriate judgment, and logical decision-making skills.
• Ability to solve problems using deductive and inductive reasoning and see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance.
• Ability to sense and forecast problem areas.
• Ability to coordinate across various groups and functional teams.

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role
