We are hiring a 1st Shift Quality Technician to join our team This position provides necessary support for the Company's Quality objective. The Quality Technician runs first pieces on CMM and analyzes CMM reports to support Manufacturing and other departments' personnel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Inspects parts with dimensional results.
- Calibrates all CMM relative to the calibration program.
- Performs general gauge repair.
- Capability studies as needed.
- Facilitate measurement system analysis.
- Performs special assignments as delegated.
- Performs product qualification testing using laboratory equipment.
- Confirm as needed with secondary measurement system to include functional and hard gauges.
- Collects scrap from the production floor at the end of the shift.
Education and Experience:
- High School Degree or GED required
- How to talk to supervisors, set-up operators, machine programmers, and operators when issues arise
- Know how to read CMM reports and communicate the results
- Job prioritization and time management
- CMM care and maintenance
