SCA Claims Processor I

Location(s): This is a virtual role, the ideal candidate will be located within 50 miles of one of the following NGS Elevance Health office locations; Indianapolis, IN, Denison, TX, Harrisburg, PA, or Syracuse, NY .

Pay: the pay for this position varies by location, is set by the government, and is non-negotiable .

The pay is as follows:

• Indianapolis, IN-$17.20

• Denison, TX-$17.20

• Harrisburg, PA-$17.20

• Syracuse, NY- $17.20

National Government Services is a proud member of Elevance Health’s family of brands. We administer government contracts for Medicare and partner with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to transform federal health programs.

The SCA Claims Processor I is responsible for processing Medicare Part A and Home Health and Hospice claims. This individual will need to successfully complete the required basic training, able to perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists and managers on non-basic issues.

How you will make an impact:

• Codes and processes claims forms for payment ensuring all information is supplied before eligible payments are made.

• Researches and analyzes claims issues.

• Learning the activities/tasks associated with his/her role.

• Works under direct supervision.

• Relies on others for instruction, guidance, and direction.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent; a minimum of 1 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• This position is part of our NGS (National Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Experience with healthcare insurance claims processing highly preferred.

• Strong data entry skills preferred.

• Strong attention to detail preferred.

• Prior experience with MS Office products preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $17.20
