Electrical Superintendent

Our esteemed client is a leading design-build and systems integration corporation specializing in innovative electrical construction solutions. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent.

The Electrical Superintendent is a key member of the project team, tasked with planning, overseeing, and implementing comprehensive project strategies. This role involves managing, scheduling, and coordinating the installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure, systems, and facilities. The candidate will engage in a variety of projects, spanning from $10M to $200M in value, including data centers, healthcare facilities, government complexes, airports, transportation systems, and manufacturing sites.

  • Collaborate with the project team to develop accurate estimates and project plans.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of project contracts, scopes, specifications, and plans.
  • Oversee site logistics in collaboration with the logistics team.
  • Manage procurement processes and material deliveries in alignment with project needs.
  • Work closely with senior management, contractors, and design professionals to resolve construction challenges.
  • Clarify project plans and contract terms to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Organize and direct daily operations to align with project objectives.
  • Allocate resources and assign teams to specific tasks, monitoring daily progress.
  • Supervise teams, delegating tasks to foremen and electrical technicians.
  • Ensure projects comply with building codes and safety regulations through regular inspections.
  • Coordinate activities with other contractors on-site.
  • Deliver high-quality and safe installations, supported by dedicated safety and quality teams.
  • Regularly track project progress against plans and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure positive cash flow and project profitability.
  • Mentor and train technicians for career advancement.
  • Perform assessments and provide feedback on the performance of foremen and electricians.

Skill Set:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the electrical field, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Significant experience in leading and coordinating complex, large-scale electrical construction initiatives.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Master Electrician's License preferred.
  • Advanced training or entry-level certifications in relevant disciplines.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Physical dexterity to manipulate tools and equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply logical reasoning to solve complex problems.
  • Capable of understanding and interpreting verbal and written information accurately.
  • Experienced in leveraging software tools including Bluebeam, Accubid Anywhere, Revit, Infralink, and Primavera P6.
