LOCATION: Nashville, TN

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Commercial Construction Manager (CM) plays a critical role in coordinating commercial flooring installations across multifamily and retail projects, serving as the essential link between subcontractors, project managers, and general contractors. This role mirrors that of a field superintendent and ensures project timelines, quality, and budget goals are met.

With 30+ years in the industry, RFCI is one of the largest flooring contractors in the Southeast and in the country. This experience allows RFCI to work with local, regional and national General Contractors on a wide variety of projects. We have a proven track record that includes a vast portfolio of multi-family and senior assisted-living projects as well as holding the status of national flooring vendor for retail/big-box outlets, completing projects throughout the country.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders in the greater Nashville, TN market.
  • Coordinate with the General Contractor Superintendent (GCS) to set and maintain the project schedule.
  • Conduct ongoing site inspections and document project progress to ensure quality and productivity targets.
  • Oversee and manage a team of 2-3 Project Managers on all project phases.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination, including hiring, mobilization, and safety talks for commercial flooring installation.
  • Conduct pre-punch inspections, manage punch list completions, and ensure final GC approval.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction management (residential experience not applicable).
  • 3+ years in commercial construction with a demonstrated track record of effective project leadership.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus; established relationships with GCs and flooring crews are a bonus.
