A leading general contractor in Nashville, TN, is seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of their field labor force. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on MEP & FP and mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct on-site supervision of field labor force, including assistants, foremen, subcontractors, and other construction-related personnel.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the supervision and responsibility of the total construction effort, ensuring compliance with design, budget, quality, and schedule.
  • Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings, recommendation of construction methods and equipment, and inspection of contractor or subcontractor operations.
  • Review and approve trade contractor payment applications, maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, and develop and maintain site logistics plans.
  • Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts, monitor costs, and communicate and enforce safety and health management programs.
  • Manage schedules, prepare and submit superintendent's daily reports, and conduct subcontractor meetings and project meetings.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
  • Brief knowledge of MEP & FP and mission-critical systems.
  • Completed commercial projects greater than $5M.
  • Efficient in MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Outlook.
