Job Description

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring that parts and finished products meet our high-quality standards. They are at the forefront of our manufacturing process and are responsible for completing specific steps required to manufacture goods. Their tasks include operating equipment, testing finished products, and troubleshooting machinery issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Positioning parts and loading materials onto machinery.
  • Entering specifications into computers to configure equipment.
  • Overseeing one or more stages of the production process while equipment is running.
  • Assessing product quality and identifying any flaws.
  • Addressing problems that arise with machinery.
  • Making basic repairs to keep equipment operational.
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and performing maintenance on machinery to ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Updating maintenance logs with relevant information.
  • Completing productivity reports detailing the number of parts or products produced during each shift.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities related to production processes.
  • Adhering to health and safety rules to minimize the risk of workplace injuries.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical requirements outlined below indicate those necessary to fulfill this position's core responsibilities. While performing job duties, the employee will regularly engage in activities such as using hands to finger, handle, or feel and communicating verbally. Additionally, the employee will frequently need to reach with hands and arms while standing and walking as part of the role. Occasional lifting and movement of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and using a ladder may be required. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
  • Hearing protection in specific locations.
  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.


SALARY INFORMATION:

According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $21and $25hourly/annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, Amphenol CMT considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.
