Description

As the SEC Reporting Manager, you'll be at the heart of our external reporting process, working closely with the VP, Corporate Controller to ensure we meet the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. What you will be doing:
  • Support the month end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, eliminations and consolidations and ensure that areas of responsibility are completed accurately and in a timely manner in line with company deadlines
  • Drive internal and external reporting, including SEC filings under Forms 10-K and 10-Q and the quarterly earnings release
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure transactions are accounted for in line with company policy and US GAAP
  • Coordinate with the external auditors for the quarterly reviews and annual audit
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and SOX compliance for all areas of responsibility
  • Serve as a business partner in support of FP&A, Tax, Treasury and other business leaders to ensure alignment and consistency of financial results and operating plans
  • Guide the business on accounting impact of various deal structures contemplated, including accounting support for acquisitions and other business development activities
  • Champion operational improvements (including systems implementations) and process simplification within the organization to drive growth, enhance efficiency, and eliminate complexity
  • Work collaboratively with internal business partners to develop and implement enhanced internal reporting, including working with IT to upgrade financial systems
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations

What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (required).
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (required).
  • Public company (SEC) reporting
  • Manufacturing company reporting
  • Acquisitions and valuation experience
  • Process improvement experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Intermediate database & JD Edwards skills
