Position Title: Human Resources Administrator Reports to: Director of Human Resources Category: Non- Exempt Field: Professional Position summary: The Human Resources Administrator assist in the administration of the employee health, welfare and workers compensation programs. This position acts as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related programs and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations. This position also serves as the primary contact on worker's compensation and unemployment compensation benefits. This position provides administrative support to the HR function as needed. Essential Functions: Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions Acts as the primary resource to employees, for compliance issues relating to FMLA, COBRA and Workers' Compensation Assists with annual open enrollment for insurance benefits each year Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Review billings for accuracy and resolves discrepancies with carriers Strives to ensure employee understanding of benefit programs and counseling employees when situations arise Acts as a resource for employees to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefits ```{=html} ``` - Responsible for monitoring and preparing reports pertaining to the organization's safety record, investigating resulting claims and causes of accidents - Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation; requesting legal counsel review - Maintain company vehicle list, renewing plates, and insurance - Review and process monthly billings for company gas cards, as well as monthly phone bill - Responsible for running background checks for all locations, monitoring results and notifying division of eligibility of hire ```{=html} ``` - Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. - Assist Director of HR with any related duties as required Skills: Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times Writing -- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others Speaking -- Talking to others to convey information effectively * Attributes: * Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences Oral Expression -- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
