Embarcadero Media Foundation , the Peninsula's leading media organization, seeks a hands-on, adaptable Marketing Intern to join our marketing team.

As our marketing intern, you'll contribute to the development and execution of creative marketing initiatives and strategies. Working closely with the marketing team, you'll play a key role in crafting outreach and promotional campaigns aimed at enhancing community engagement. This hands-on opportunity will allow you to collaborate across departments, gaining valuable experience in marketing, sales, and audience engagement while exploring your interests under the guidance of mentors.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of social media management and analytics tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Enrolled and progressing in a degree earning program during the internship, with a graduation date after the completion of internship
  • Understanding of marketing fundamentals, campaign strategy/tactics
  • Ability to commit 10-20 hours per week.
  • Desire to make a strong contribution to a nonprofit organization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience maintaining and creating foundational marketing materials, including the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Experience developing branding and creative strategies, supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Experience assisting with event preparation and coordination related to internal and external meetings, events, and gatherings
  • Experience building social media strategy and content calendar, as well as brainstorming ideas for innovative social media campaigns
