Our Quality Manager supports Mativ's Sustainability & Adhesives Solutions Function. This individual is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the Quality Management System and delivery of Customer satisfaction.The location of this role is Windsor, CT and reports to the site Operations Manager, with dotted line to the Segment Quality Leader.

responsibilities:
  • Act as a member of the Windsor site leadership teams, promoting a culture of safety, quality and fostering the Mativ leadership behaviors in support of delivery of site KPIs.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the site Quality Management Systems and compliance with external certifications, including ISO 13485 and ISO 9001, performing audits and conducting routine reviews with Management to manage risks, gaps and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the evaluation and onboarding of new business and product changes with respect to meeting all quality and regulatory requirements, such as quality agreements, product specifications, validations, and supplier and supplied material qualifications.
  • Provide oversite for manufacturing product quality, including risk assessments, raw material quality, product specification process, laboratory and test equipment oversite, qualification and execution of product testing/verification, and nonconforming product management.
  • Oversee the site supplier quality program, including ongoing monitoring of suppliers, Supplier Corrective Action Requests, post-market change control, and continual improvement of the supply chain quality.
  • Responsible for the execution of customer complaints and CAPA processes, ensuring thorough investigations, corrective and preventative actions, and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the operations post-market change control process to ensure all changes are managed based on risk and in a compliant manner.
  • Lead a team of 5-15 team members, development and performance feedback - establishing the quality resource plan, defining work scope, setting annual objectives, and supporting individual development priorities.
  • Participate as a team member of a global quality organization to share, develop and implement best practices in a systematic and scalable manner.
qualifications:
Required
  • BS in the Sciences, e.g., Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Natural Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years experience in a site Medical Device/Component Manufacturing Quality Assurance leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge of standards and regulations related to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21CFR:820, 21 CFR part 11.
  • Experienced Auditor
  • Proficient with business and technical software such as ERPs, Minitab, electronic Quality Management Systems

Preferred
  • Experience with standards and regulations related to ISO/TS 16949, 21CFR:210/211 and FDA requirements for combination products.
  • Certified Auditor
